Call Me

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. “~Jeremiah 33:3

We live in an age of instant communication. You can access news from around the world 24/7. Most of us have cable or satellite television with hundreds of channels to choose from. Radio, iPads, computers, cell phones, the list is almost endless. We are constantly bombarded with words, but most of it is white noise.

When I was growing up it amazed me that my grandmother had such a memory of past events. I enjoyed talking to her about her childhood. She had grown up during the Great Depression. She lived during WWII, and had experienced the invention of radio and television. She passed away at age 95 in 2004.

What I enjoyed most about my grandmother was talking with her. She was full of wisdom and knowledge. There was a peace about her that was unhurried. She would listen and answer my many questions. Grandmother had an intimate relationship with the Lord. No matter what was going on, everyday after lunch she would go to her bedroom for some quiet time. She never missed a day as far as I can remember.

Living life in today’s world can be hectic. We all need to have a time and place to get away from all the distractions of life. Jeremiah 33:3 is God’s invitation to come aside and commune with Him. To have some quiet time and intimacy. With all that’s going on around us, it’s what we all need.

If your life is chaotic and you are looking for an answer. Here is God’s private line and invitation to call.
