Follow Me

~Luke 9:23 “Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” NSFB

In order for us to have the kind of anointing Jesus walked in, it will require nothing short of laying our lives down. If Jesus had to lay His life down, so will we.

Just like Jesus if we have been called, we will have decision after decision to stay on the path or get off. Some want to follow Jesus, they even said they would no matter what, but when the time came to cross over to a new place they had things that took the place of following Him.

People hear about Jesus every day. They see what He does, but they don’t really see. They hear what He says, but don’t really understand. He told His disciples about the suffering and what laid ahead for Him. They just could not comprehend that Jesus would suffer.

He was our example. He was a model in plain sight. He gave His life for them, showing them the path they must also take. We don’t have to die physically, but we do have to die to anything that we put higher than God. The higher we go up with Him, the less we can take with us. You see nothing can stand in our way when we follow Him.

Since He called me and sent me to Gateway Believers Fellowship, He also has graced me for everything, and every level I need to go through. So, I say out loud Father you have sent me here to overcome. I thank you; Father my decision is to go on with you. We have to give Him access to take us to this new place. After all He is a gentlemen, and He will not force us to do anything.

If you really want to do something for His eternal purpose, follow Him, Live the life He lived.
